Fantasy tree tutorial
This tutorial will show you how to make a beautiful fantasy tree. I use PSP 9 but you can use any paint program that supports layers. MS Paint users, I'm sorry I don't know how to do this without using layers! :( |

| Step 1: With color #1 of your palette, draw your outline. Put some branches on top and some roots at the bottom of the tronc. | Step 2: With color #2 start drawing some diagonal lines in the tronc, from one side to the other. Also put some shadow on each side. |

| Step 5: Add some highlights with color #5, just becareful to leave spaces between the highlights and the filling color. | Step 6: Apply another round of highlights with color #6, and again leave spaces between the color 5 and 6. The tronc is now finished. |

| Step 7: Now you will need 2 green palettes, one darker then the other. Draw yourself a set of leaves with each palette. | Step 8: Paste your lighter leaf here and there on top of your tronc. Mirror and flip the leaf once in a while to make the foliage looks more realistic. I have added some branches in between the leaves. Add a layer under the tronc and paste your darkest leaf to fill the blank areas. |
